Command Console
Found only in Durametric version 6 Professional kits, the Command Console provides a means of direct communication with a car's control units.
Look at this screen:
The Durametric program will automatically create the communications packet and format the required bytes and checksums.
Since each command is a series of hexadecimal bytes, the command input is expecting a series of hexadecimal values separated by commas. Example “1A,80.” To save on typing, the hexadecimal identifier of "0x" for each byte is assumed.
When the Send button is clicked, Durametric automatically creates the communications packet, calculates the checksum, and sends the message to the control module. When the program receives a response, it displays the data on the screen.
Since there are many different communications protocols in use on Porsche, the Command Console uses the protocol of the module currently selected.
