The Porsche 981 is the third generation Boxster announced by Porsche on January 12, 2012. Available in the base model or faster 'S', the price ranges from US$49,500 to US$64,100. Porsche equipped the base model with a 265 hp (195 kW) engine with a top speed of 164 mph (264 km/h), doing 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. The 'S' model gets a 315 hp (232 kW) powerplant with a top speed of 173 mph (279 km/h), running 0 - 100 kph in 5.1 seconds.
